HAROLD F SHOOK
OBITUARY
Harold Francis Shook, was born in Frankin County, Washington Township,
Pennsylvania, August 16, 1924, the son of Noah Harold and Nellie Virginia
(Brown) Shook. At an early age, he and his parents relocated to Baltimore,
Maryland, where he resided until he joined the Air Force when he was 18 years
old. He bravely served in the Korean Conflict, and for most of his 20 year
career in the Armed Services, he was an instructor and supervisor GCA operator
(Ground Control Aviation). He retired in 1965 while serving at Homestead Air
Force Base in Homestead, Florida, as a Non-Commissioned Officer.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Grace Allene Shook of Hollywood,
Florida; his four children, Linda Lindsay of Collier County, Florida, Larry
Francis Shook of White Hall, Maryland, Judy Shook Payne, and Pamela Shook Smith
of Cockeysville, Maryland; six grandchildren - Lori Lindsay Ross of Long Island,
New York, Renee' Lindsay of Miami Beach, Florida, Carrie Shook Ellis of Crofton,
Maryland, Natalie Payne of Upperco, Maryland, Andrea Payne Heist of Timonium,
and Jessica Gordon of Broward County, Florida; six great grandchildren, Eric
Marcus and Lindsay Nicole Ross of Roslyn Heights, New York, Sean Ellis of
Crofton, Maryland, Vance Payne of Upperco, Maryland, Kylee Hoffman and Taryn
Heist of Timonium, Maryland.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the Disabled American
Veterans, P. O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, Ohio 45250-0301. Interment and Military
Honors will be held at the South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth,
Florida, date and time to be determined
